Sell Your Items
If you have Designer/Contemporary pieces in your closet that you never wore or no longer wear that are just taking up space, sell them through Re-Finery. It’s easy to get started. Simply contact us at re-finery@att.net to obtain a Consignor number (no minimum amount of pieces required). Next, fill out the Re-Finery Seller Agreement below to agree to our terms. Once we’ve obtained your completed Re-Finery Seller Agreement, we are available to pick up your items in the Dallas area by appointment. If you live outside of Dallas, items can be shipped. Email us for details.
Preparing your items for Sale:
All apparel MUST be clean, pressed and hanging – no exceptions. Re-Finery has the right to refuse items deemed not appropriate for sale (stained, too worn, too old, torn or outdated). Additionally, items must be Designer/Contemporary. Scroll to the bottom of the page for a reference list of acceptable brands.
Shoes must be free of scuffs and scrapes. Likewise, handbags should be in excellent condition. Please include original boxes and/or bags in which the shoes or handbags were included upon retail sale, if possible.
Other accessories such as jewelry, belts, scarves and sunglasses should follow the same rule.
Pricing your items for Sale:
You have two options in pricing your merchandise. First, unlike traditional Consignment stores, you as the Seller may set the price for your items. As a guideline, pieces should be priced no more than 1/3 of original retail price. If you have items never worn, ½ of retail price could be advisable. Please avoid pricing any higher. Remember, you want your items to sell!
Secondly, Re-Finery is happy to price the items for you. Either way, within 3 days of receipt of your pieces, Re-Finery will email you an itemized listing of your items and the associated price.
All items will be tagged uniformly by Re-Finery prior to sale.
Payment made to Seller:
Re-Finery will mail you a check within two months for items sold. You will retain 50% (less sales tax) of selling price. A detailed print-out of items sold will be included. Note: All un-cashed checks after 90 days will be canceled.
Unsold Items:
Re-Finery may adjust the pricing on any unsold items after a large Trunk Show or one month. After two Trunk Shows or two months, Seller has the choice to either donate items to charity or pick up items. You will be notified when any of your items have not sold and need to either be picked up or donated to charity. All unclaimed items remaining 30 days after notification of unsold inventory will be automatically donated to charity.
